Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in Columbia

If you have been on Keto any length of time at all, you know that pasta and bread are not your friends, as well as many of the rich sauces that are famous in Italian cuisine. But you can still eat at one of America’s favorite Italian eateries if you watch your carbs–Olive Garden. It’s best to know before you go to keep from ordering something that will sabotage your hard work in one meal.

Here are about 6 or 7 meals you can eat at Olive Garden without falling off the wagon. One of those is the Chicken Piccata (pictured above). Take note, however, that the “Parmesan Crusted Zucchini” shown have BREAD CRUMBS in that crusting. So you can just order it WITHOUT the Parmesan crusting. Their side salads are great, and you can ask for their creamy or zesty Italian dressing on the side which only adds 2g carbs to your salad. The best thing to do is just ask for certain menu items to be prepared minus breading, saucing, or other carb-loaded ingredients used to lure us into the carb creep zone. Olive Garden provides its own Nutrition Guide that may come in handy before your next trip to the Garden. UPDATE: Olive Garden now has a new Zoodles menu item! To top it off, one of our most admired Keto-ers, AllyMcWowie, has some great advice about eating at Olive Garden. Don’t take our word for it, check out what Allie has to say:
