Colton’s Steak House & Grill in Jefferson City

A steak house is one of the most Keto friendly eateries you can choose. At Colton’s, you can order things customized and I have found them to be very accommodating. It goes without saying that you would not want the breaded appetizers, like the “Onion Tanglers” (90g of carbs!!!) and such, but there are plenty of great items so you shouldn’t feel deprived.  Colton’s has an AWESOME “Nutrition Calculator” where you can put in your menu item with your custom options to get your carb count! I had fun playing with that. The last time we went there, I spotted the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich right away, so that’s what I ordered WITHOUT the bun. I ran that through their calculator then did a screen shot to share below that shows my total carb count for that meal was 14g. But I had enough of the steak to take leftovers home with me, and could only eat about half of the mushrooms (which I asked for on the side), so I didn’t get the whole 14g in one meal. There was a higher “sugars” count than I normally have, and you do have to watch for that!

It’s easy to figure out. Choose the “category” of your menu item first from the top left drop-down menu, then select the exact menu “Item” in the next drop-down list, select the “options” you are ordering (leaving off the bun) then click the  “Add Item to Meal” button below that. #lowcarbjc
